Rabkavi Banhatti is a town situated at the bank river Krishna and a city municipal council in Bagalkot district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It forms twin town along with Rabakavi Rampur & Hosur. It is the hub of the textile business for the surrounding districts. The people in the town are famous for their kind hearts, caring and Hard Working nature. Rabkavi Banhatti is a place about 19 km to the west of JamkhandiThis town area comprises four places: Rabkavi, Banhatti, Hosur and Rampur. In 1952 the municipalities of Rabkavi and Banhatti were merged into one municipality. The place is very famous for its power loomed and hand loomed sarees, for which there is a very good market. Rabkavi-Banhatti has more than 22000 power looms which is the highest in Karnataka. The famous temples of the city are Shri Mahadev temple, GLBC colony, Danamma Devi Temple (Rabkavi) and Shri Kadasiddeshwara temple (Banhatti). A fair is conducted every August and September.
